Why Should you Know Pet First Aid?

Why do we need to know how to perform pet first aid? We all try to make sure we are prepared for disasters with our families, but sometimes we forget our pets need our help too.

According to the Animal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) “emergencies comes in many forms”. As pet owners we need to know how to keep our pets safe and how to take care of them when they a hurt. Most people believe their dog or cat instinctly knows how to care for themselves. The reality is that our pets have to be protected and we need to know how to protect our pets.
